Prayer for the Athelney Benefice

Almighty God,

Who made all things and sustains all things;

We come together remembering the past and full of hope for the future;

We thank you for the part you call us to play in our Benefice’s continuing story.

Lord, bind us more closely together and unite us in the work of your kingdom in our communities;

Help us to draw on the gifts and talents in our midst and to use them in your service.

May we be a welcoming and loving community, united in worshipping you and open to your guiding Spirit.

Holy Spirit guide us at this time of uncertainty and change:

Fill us with vision and energy; make us faithful in prayer and worship, that we may discover your way for the future and see your kingdom grow.

We ask these things in the name of your Son our Saviour, Jesus Christ.         Amen

Welcome Back to Your Church * Please visit to pray and find peace

The October magazine is HERE! (old issues are listed below).

Rev John Tyler stepped down from his position as Honorary Associate Priest on 30th September. We duly thank him for his dedication and immense contributions to our church and benefice, and wish him a prayerful and enjoyable retirement in Ilminster.

Bell Tower appeal

Jumble Sale in aid of the tower fund did not take place, due to more government restrictions on gatherings. However, at the Produce Market on 3rd October, a couple of stalls will be available.

From 5th October, a display of articles for sale will be held in the Village Store window.

Vicar

North Curry is without a resident vicar, meaning it is currently in an Interregnum. During this period Mary Piers (01823 491434) will be the person to contact regarding church matters, but there is still access to a vicar should you need one.  athelneyvicar@gmail.com, whilst still active, will be monitored on behalf of the benefice by Jane White, the Churchwarden for Stoke St Gregory. In case of query, her number is 01823 490508.
